Sulley eager to qualify Etoile back to topflight league Story: Striker Sadick Sulley says his dream is to bring Etoile de l'Est back to the Rwanda Premier League for the 2025/26 season.

The Ghanaian striker has netted 14 goals and provided 17 assists for Etoile so far this season as the Ngoma-based club has already secured their ticket to the play-offs.

Sulley had featured for Kyrgyzstan side FC Dordoi on a short-term deal but returned to Rwanda in January 2024 and joined then top tier side Etoile de l'Est on an 18-month deal.

The club couldn't survive despite Sulley netting 6 goals on their road to relegation. The former Espoir and Bugesera FC striker had an offer to go to El Etifaq in Bahrain but he rejected it as he wanted to bring Etoile back to the elite division.

"For the first time seeing myself in a lower division, I never accepted the reality until I advised myself and now I'm enjoying football again. My objective is to promote Etoile back to the topflight division," Sulley told Times Sport.

Besides Etoile de l’Est, Gicumbi, AS Muhanga and La Jeunesse have also secured qualification to the play-off as they look to battler for two top tier league tickets which are up for grabs.
